Giving Back

Our entire staff spent a week in the Dominican Republic in February 2019 to serve patients in need. We had been collecting glasses donations for over 6 months before the trip, and our patients, friends, family, eye doctors from all over the USA and complete strangers were so generous that we had over 1400 pair of glasses to take with us on our trip! Our staff ran clinics in 5 different cities and villages, and we were able to examine well over 1000 people, and then find appropriate prescriptions for over 800 people. It was hot, dirty, and tiring, but so awesome! We hope to be able to do this again soon, so please continue to bring us your old glasses, sunglasses and readers so we can help more folks in need in the future.  It was such a privilege to help others in such a concrete way.

Dr. Katherine Schuetz was recently featured in the American Optometric Association’s national publication, Focus.  The techniques we use at Little Eyes® to make our patients feel comfortable while getting their eyes checked allow the exam data to be optimal and keep young patients happy.  These specialized techniques were recently discussed on a national platform, and we at Little Eyes® were honored to be featured.  Our hope is that every child who has their eyes checked can experience a fun exam with accurate results, just like at Little Eyes®!
